The use of switching power supply should pay attention to what

Date:2020-08-14

Switching power supply than linear power supply will produce more interference, common mode interference sensitive electrical equipment, should take grounding and shielding measures, according to ICE1000,EN61000,FCC and other EMC restrictions, switching power supply are taken EMC EMC measures, so the switching power supply should generally be with EMC EMC filter. For example, Leadworth technology's HA series switching power supply, its FG terminal is connected to the ground or to the user's housing, in order to meet the above electromagnetic compatibility requirements.

Switching power supply in the design must have overcurrent, overheating, short circuit and other protective functions to avoid damage to electrical equipment or switching power supply.

  1. The input voltage of the switching power supply can be 220V or 110V, and the input voltage gear can be selected reasonably according to the circuit design. Otherwise, it will cause damage to the switching power supply.

 2. Distinguish the ground terminal and the neutral terminal of the output voltage terminal of the switching power supply. And ensure that the switching power supply grounding is reliable.

 3. The metal shell of the switching power supply is generally connected to the ground, and should be reliably grounded to ensure safety, and the shell should not be mistakenly connected to the neutral line;

 4. Before the installation of the switching power supply is completed, please check and proofread the connection on each terminal again to ensure that the input and output, AC and DC, single-phase and polyphase, positive and negative terminals, voltage and current values are correct before it can be powered on;

 5. For high-power switching power supplies, there are generally two or more "+" output terminals "-" output terminals, in fact, they belong to an output electrode, just for the convenience of user wiring, and the multiple terminals are respectively inside and connected together.

 6. In order to achieve full heat dissipation, the general switching power supply should be installed in a position with good air convection conditions, or installed on the chassis housing through the housing to transmit heat outside;

 7. The switching power supply is tested with resistive load before leaving the factory. If it is used in capacitive or inductive load, it should be explained in advance in the order contract;

 8. For dual-channel switching power supply output symmetric load, the symmetric output power supply is preferred;

 9. For the grounding user of the switching power supply FG, it is normal to feel numb electricity when touching the shell or output, and FG has about 110V AC output to the ground when floating, which is determined by the internal structure of the power supply.

 10. The switching power supply drill before the factory 100% filled negative in aging, generally the power utilization rate is controlled within 80% or lower, can greatly improve the service life of the power supply, in general, the power supply temperature is increased by 10 ℃ capacitor life is reduced by half;

 11. The ripple and noise of the switching power supply are AC components superimposed on the DC output voltage, generally expressed by millivolt peak;

 12. For all switching power supplies, when there is a sudden change in the load, there will be a certain response time, during this sudden change, the output voltage of the power supply will have a short overshoot process at an instant, and then return to the normal output state, which is the dynamic response;

 13. Once the switching power supply fails, the factory should be notified in the fastest way, and the factory will be responsible for free maintenance or technical guidance, except for those who disassembly the power supply.
